Black Caps fall just short of making history

From Morning Report, 8:29 am on 30 October 2017

The New Zealand cricketers have fallen agonisingly short of claiming New Zealand's first ever one-day series win in India after being beaten by six runs in a thrilling third and final match in Kanpur. The Black Caps won the toss and put India in to bat with the hosts reaching 337 for 6 off their 50 overs. Seamers Tim Southee and Adam Milne and spinner Mitchell Santner took two wickets each. In reply the Black Caps needed 15 runs off the final over to win but couldn't quite get there, finishing on 331 for 7. Opener Colin Munro top scored with a rapid fire 75, while Tom Latham again made a sizeable contribution with 65, as his switch from the top to the middle of the order continues to prove a success.
