Peters' talks with Ardern, English pick up pace

The pace appears to be picking up in the talks to decide who will lead the next government. Winston Peters had one-on-one talks with Bill English and Jacinda Ardern last night and New Zealand First's caucus are to meet this morning to continue their discussions on the competing proposals from National and Labour. New Zealand First MPs and the New Zealand First Board met yesterday.

When he emerged from that meeting yesterday he told reporters they had made progress but there was still more work to be done. RNZ political editor Jane Patterson joins us with the latest analysis.
