Ōtara fatal crash: More needed to help teens - youth worker

From Morning Report, 7:10 am on 10 October 2017

A South Auckland youth worker is warning it's too hard to keep at-risk teenagers away from a life of crime without more funding and support. 15-year-old Morocco Tai, who was driving a stolen car, was killed during a police pursuit in Ōtara yesterday. Two teenage girls in the car were also injured - one seriously. The police say Morocco was also arrested last month for being the passenger in a car that was driven at speed along the wrong side of Auckland's southern motorway. He was charged with aggravated robbery, endangering transport and aiding a driver in a dangerous matter.
