Election 2017 turnout highest since 2005

This year's election saw voting increases on all fronts. More than 2.6 million votes were cast, making it the highest ever turnout since 2005. Advanced votes were up by 73 percent from the last election, and special votes up by 35 percent. Alicia Wright is the Electoral Commissioner.
