Coalition courting with Peters set to start

Preliminary talks to form a new government get under way today. New Zealand First will be meeting with the National Party this morning and the Labour Party this afternoon. Labour leader Jacinda Ardern said she was not worried National is going first. Mr English would not make any comment about the coalition talks. Talks will begin in earnest once the result of the special votes has been announced on Saturday afternoon. New Zealand First leader Winston Peters has said he will make his decision by next Thursday.
