Havelock North gastro outbreak: 37 apply for compensation

Thirty seven people have applied for compensation from a fund set up to help those with long-term illnesses arising from last year's campylobacter outbreak in Havelock North. The Hastings District Council and Hawke's Bay Regional Council each contributed $100,000 to the fund. But some of those intending to apply have told RNZ News they gave up because there were too many hoops to jump through.
