New Plymouth wind wand inspected after lightning strike

A lightning strike has put New Plymouth's wind wand out of action. Late on Sunday, an electrical storm in the city hit its wind wand and Port Taranaki's chimney. In 2014, lightening struck Wellington's wind wand, causing it to explode and forcing a long and costly repair job. New Plymouth's mayor Neil Holdom joins us.
