Lawyer urges Immigration NZ to back exploited migrants

An immigration and human rights lawyer says exploited migrant workers are too afraid to speak up because they fear immigration authorities will treat them rather than their employer like criminals. Richard McLeod says while Immigration New Zealand's website assures exploited migrants that officials will help them and they won't get into trouble if they expose bad employers, the reality is very different.
