Police interview 'torture' - lawyer

From Morning Report, 7:10 am on 7 September 2017

A Family Court judge says the police asked a 12-year-old girl 'pointless and repetitive' detailed questions when she complained she was raped three times while living in state care.

Judge Twaddle in his ruling also says the investigation has taken too long and officers need to follow up with "much more determination" on the complaint first made a year ago.

The victim's mother says the hour-long police interview was like "torture".
