Forensic examinations will begin at dawn at the scene of a car fire in Queenstown in which a person has died. Our producer Alex Perrottet has the latest. Queenstown local Lindsay Shaw witnessed the fatal car fire last night, and said she heard a "horrendous explosion". She says it burst into blames almost immediately. New Zealand and Israel have reportedly agreed to restore diplomatic ties, ending a six month crisis between the two countries. The Jerusalem Post's chief political correspondent Gil Hoffman says NZ has expressed regret for the damage done to Israel-New Zealand relations. The US attorney general Jeff Sessions has told the Senate intelligence committee any suggestions he was involved in collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia are appalling and detestable lies.
