Govt hiring before Maori land bill passes 'arrogant'

From Morning Report, 7:51 am on 31 May 2017

The government been called 'totally arrogant' for hiring a director for its proposed Maori Land Service before contentious legislation creating the agency has even passed. Correction: RNZ earlier incorrectly reported the Maori Land Service will replace the Maori Land Court. The current Maori Land Bill confirms the status of the Maori Land Court as a judicial body and its jurisdiction will be extended under the bill.
