New guidelines for out-of-zone application donations

The Ministry of Education has asked state schools not to ask parents for out-of-zone application donations, but one school, Auckland Grammar, is standing its ground. The Auditor General found there was no connection between the payment and the chances of the student getting in, but has criticised the practice anyway.
