The rescue of an 8-year-old girl who spent more than two hours treading water in Manukau Harbour has been described as truly remarkable by Jonathon Webber, the chief executive of WaterSafe Auckland. "It's a real testamant to all the calls that are echoed around the country about the need to have our young people educated - not just in how to swim, but in what to do when things go wrong."
