Flavell says lies told about his Maori land law reforms

The Co-leader of the Maori Party and Maori Development Minister has hit back at what he says are lies being told about his bill changing Maori land law. Te Ururoa Flavell says the Ture Whenua Maori Bill will give Maori land owners greater autonomy and better legal protection as well as more support to develop the land if that's what the owners want. But Mana Movement's Hone Harawira says Maori want greater protection for what little Maori land is left and that isn't in the bill. "The bill should be shut down."
