Businesses in Kaikohe have had a gutsful of gangs of children causing chaos in the Far North town.
Kaikohe Community Watch says a group of about half a dozen teenagers walked into a local liquor outlet on St Patrick's Day and walked out with boxes of beer.
And early on Saturday morning a gang of about 20 hurled rocks at the Mobil service station and tried to kick in the glass doors.
Tony Taylor, the founder of the Kaikohe Community Watch, says they need more police.
"We've got gangs of youths - and I'm talking 11, 12, 13 year olds upwards - just terrorising everything. They're stealing cars, they're breaking into peoples properties. They're just running riot at the moment and nobody can do anything with them."
