Apology made to women after Experiment at National Women's
Thirty years after what became known as the Unfortunate Experiment, the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, has made a public apology to the women affected. Herbert Green's study at National Women's Hospital followed women with major cervical abnormalities without definitively treating them, and without their knowledge or consent during the 1960s, 70s and 80s.
