People in Rotorua have described their disbelief at how quickly a fire destroyed a local church last night.

The fire at St John's Presbyterian Church started around quarter-to-six yesterday evening, but by the time the fire service had it under control just two hours later the building was little more than a mangled wreck.
Fire investigators will be back on site today to find out what caused the blaze.
The city's deputy mayor Dave Donaldson visited and says the intensity of the fire was quite severe and the fire fighters did well to stop it spreading.
