Big Ben to fall silent for repairs - but what about the bongs?

From Morning Report, 8:57 am on 19 December 2016

The Elizabeth Tower - or Big Ben to you and me - is now closed to the public. It's to undergo a huge facelift, and from January will be scaffolded for about three years - the longest conservation work in its history. It will also mean the bells being silenced for six months. That's causing some angst at the BBC about what will precede the news now the "BimBom" is falling silent.
