A woman who was killed in her Upper Hutt home had been "living in fear" after someone broke into her home a year ago, according to one of her neighbours.
The body of 30-year-old Lois Rita Tolley was discovered at her flat in Ward Street in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police are still searching for four men in their twenties who were seen running away from the house.
Yesterday, several bunches of flowers lay near the police tape cordoning off the home.
