A train derailment in India has claimed 120 lives in the country's worst train accident in six years.

150 other people have been injured in the incident near Kanpur in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh.

The impact was so severe that several carriages were flipped.

Initial investigations say there could have been a gap in the track, and possibly a problem with the train's brakes.
