Police leadership is getting a shake-up, with plans to appoint a dozen new Maori inspectors. An upcoming hui for Te Tai Tokerau iwi chairs hopes to explore, which Marae in their rohe could be used as civil defence hubs in the future. The Ministry of Education says there are about twenty five percent of Maori Medium kura which are connected to free internet as part of a project to have fast broadband in schools across the country. A Maori development academic says New Zealand has entered an extraordinary time with more and more politicians campaigning about Te Reo Rangatira.
