An education expert from Chile says charter schools disadvantage Maori and do not provide them with a good education. A coalition is developing a Maori driven Manuka honey industry so it can increase employment for rural tangata whenua on tribal land where Manuka trees grow. A Taranaki Maori land owner of an award-winning farm wants tribal descendants to know about the land's history, not just its success. Manukau Inistitute of Technology's performing arts student will, for the first time, perform at an inner city Auckland theatre tonight.
