From Midday Report, 12:18 pm on 8 February 2022

Following our RNZ exclusive story this morning, and a warning, this story contains references to suicide, sudden death and assault, and graphic details about human remains.

A crime scene cleaning business used by government agencies and city councils has been posting graphic photos of death and violence on Facebook.

RNZ counted photos linked to 15 deaths, two suspected suicides, five attempted suicides or instances of self-harm, five assaults and three other assaults explicitly listed as domestic violence, as well as two photos showing human remains being cleaned off trains.

Some photos show identifying features of properties and there is also information about the method or cause of death or near-death.

Victims advocate Ruth Money spoke to Māni Dunlop about the impact this could have on whānau.
