Vaccine phobia stopping uptake in Papua New Guinea

Misinformation about Covid-19 in Papua New Guinea is pushing some people from vaccine hesitancy to vaccine phobia, according to aid sector workers.

Just 1.7 percent of eligible people in Papua New Guinea are vaccinated so far.

Today, Australia's Lowy Institute released modelling showing it could take until 2026 for PNG to vaccinate just a third of its population.

The chair of New Zealand's council for international development humanitarian network, Quenelda Clegg talks to RNZ's Māni Dunlop.
