Suspected Covid-19 case in Wellington region

From Midday Report, 12:12 pm on 19 November 2021

Health professionals have told RNZ a suspected case of Covid-19 is being investigated in the Wellington region.

And as the virus creeps South, health officials throughout the country are urging people who feel unwell, or have been at a location of interest, to get tested as soon as possible.

In the North Island, locations of interest are spread from the top of the country down to Horowhenua, Manawatu and Wairarapa.

And in the South Island, Christchurch's airport and busses 3 and 5 - from the airport to the city centre and then on to Eastgate Mall on November the 13th - are also listed.

Despite confirmation of cases in Tauranga, the council's commissioner Anne Tolley told RNZ that too few people there were getting tested.
