It's turning into a scorcher for Canterbury's anniversary holiday.
Normally, thousands of people would be at the showgrounds checking out tractors, turning green on fairground rides, and patting some of the region's finest and fluffiest animals.
But today, the crowds are absent, yet some of the competition is still on.
