NZ's emissions continue to rise

New Zealand's greenhouse gas emissions jumped almost five percent in the last quarter, according to Stats NZ.

Behind the rise was a major increase in coal burning for electricity generation.

New Zealand has promised to phase out coal burning in the next two decades, but experts say that timeline is far too slow.
