Many of Auckland's senior High School students returned to class this morning - now wearing masks - more than two months after the first community case of the Delta variant of Covid-19 was detected in the city.
After 10 weeks of learning from home, years 11, 12 and 13 can return - with less than four weeks to go before end of year exams.
The principal of Papatoetoe High School Vaughan Couillaut told Midday Report's Māni Dunlop more than half of students had showed up for the first day back.
