Covid-19: Traffic light system doesn't cater to Māori - analyst

From Midday Report, 12:19 pm on 22 October 2021

The government's reopening plan does not include a specific target for Māori vaccination rates.

The Māori vaccination rates lag significantly behind in every DHB.

Independent Covid Analyst Dr Rawiri Taonui has written extensively on the data of low vaccination but high case numbers among Māori.

He told Mani Dunlop the new system doesn't cater to Māori.
