Colin Powell leaves tricky legacy

Colin Powell, the first African American to hold the country's top cabinet position of secretary of state, has died at 84.

In many ways he shaped American foreign policy for decades, and for a time was considered the leading contender to become the first Black president.

He's died of Covid complications - he was suffering from a type of blood cancer that likely made him more susceptible to the virus.
