Govt barrels on with health sector reform

The government's barrelling on with its reform of the health sector; announcing separate eight-member boards for both the Maori Health Authority and Health New Zealand this morning.

The country's 20 DHBs will be scrapped; with the new agencies taking over their work.

The health minister Andrew Little told Māni Dunlop the new services would ensure the $20 billion health budget goes further.
