Māori significantly more likely to die after surgery than non-Māori

Māori are significantly more likely to die after surgery than non-Māori.

A new study, published today in the New Zealand Medical Journal, shows that no matter the type of surgery, a significant disparity exists.

In some cases, the likelihood of death is more than double that of Pākehā.
