Des Ratima of Te Matau a Maui has died

A prominent kaumatua from Te Matau a Maui has died. Des Ratima, 69, a staunch advocate for many whanau and communities died yesterday from underlying health conditions. He lived a life of service serving in the army for 19 years and dedicated his life to supporting many whanau. The Ikaroa Rawhiti MP Meka Whaitiri was with him recently and speaks to Māni Dunlop.
