Aotearoa is locked down for the second time. There are now five cases of Covid-19's delta variant detected in the Auckland community. One of them is a fully vaccinated nurse at Auckland City Hospital. The country is at Alert Level 4, meaning people must stay home for all but essential matters - and they're encouraged to wear a mask if they go out. The Delta variant has an R0 of 5 whereas the original Wuhan strain's was less than 2, meaning each person infected with Delta will spread it to five other people on average. Māni Dunlop speaks to RNZ reporter Jordan Bond at the Northcote testing centre in Auckland.
