Taliban is promising it's changed and wants peace
As the Taliban consolidates its rule of Afghanistan, the international community is imploring them to uphold human rights - including those of women and girls; to let people leave in safety; and to never again harbour terrorists. The Taliban is promising it's changed: that it wants peace and will protect people's rights. However, that's not what is happening in regional Afghanistan. Māni Dunlop spoke to New York correspondent William Denselow about the United Nations Security Council meeting earlier this morning.
