Escalating buzz of helicopters over Waiheke Island

The escalating buzz of helicopters over Waiheke Island has left residents at boiling point and demanding regulation. The island in Auckland's Hauraki Gulf is home to nearly 50 helipads - that number having doubled over the last decade. Waiheke Local Board chairperson Cath Handley told Māni Dunlop locals are lodging complaints, and the Board's now looking to introduce restrictions.
