Meridian Energy struggled to cancel pre-planned shutdowns
The country's largest power generator Meridian Energy struggled to cancel pre-planned shutdowns on the day of the power crisis. Thousands lost power in the middle of a polar blast. The country's largest electricity generator, Meridian, says it delayed a planned outage at its West Wind farm in Wellington but others could not be cancelled in the time available. RNZ reporter Amy Williams has been following the story and speaks to Māni Dunlop.
