Shipping companies reluctant to test crews for Covid-19, says union
A maritime union says relying on the honesty of shipping companies to declare Covid-positive crew when arriving in New Zealand is a system doomed to fail. Last week, more than 90 workers boarded the Rio De La Plata in Tauranga, before finding out nearly half the ship's crew were infected with Covid-19.
