More frontline police officers want to carry guns
A survey has shown 73 percent of police officers want to be armed - the highest level in a decade The Police Association's biennial survey, which included about 6000 of its members - showed support is even higher among frontline officers wanting to carry guns. It also found one in 4 general duties officers were threatened with a firearm last year. Our police reporter Ben Strang has been reading the findings and joins Māni Dunlop.
