National says there's space in MIQ for sick ppl coming home
New Zealanders forced overseas under exceptional circumstances say they're now stuck abroad due to a lack of MIQ spots. They want an overhaul of the system. David Willetts, who has blood cancer, was declined a stem cell transplant here and has gone to Singapore for the procedure. He says there's no guarantee he or his sister - who is his donor - will get a spot in MIQ after unsuccessfully trying to secure one for a month. RNZ has also spoken to people who are stuck in Australia and have had their pensions paused. Māni Dunlop speaks to the National Party's Covid-19 spokesperson Chris Bishop.
