Health profesionals call for NZ to urgently send teams to Covid hit Fiji

From Midday Report, 12:10 pm on 22 July 2021

The Pasifika Medical Association of New Zealand is calling for more medical staff to immediately join those on the ground in Fiji.

Fiji recorded over one thousand new cases yesterday, and a record 21 daily deaths from the virus.

The Association's chief executive, Debbie Sorenson, told Māni Dunlop there is an urgent need for New Zealand to send medical staff to ease pressures on Fiji's doctors and nurses, who are exhausted and overworked.
