Under 5s health reforms could address ethnic inequalities

Inequalities for Māori and Pasifika could be challenged by new healthcare services reforms for children under five. A Government review has found children are slipping through the cracks of its health system - the Well Child Tamariki Ora programme. Whānau Āwhina Plunket provides about 85-percent of the service and its chief executive Amanda Malu has admitted to the role it played in that inequity, saying it needed to do better.
