Children's Commissioner Judge Andrew Becroft responds

Children's Commissioner Judge Andrew Becroft has been calling for Oranga Tamariki's care and protection residences to close since 2017. He tells Māni Dunlop his office was regularly told of abuse in the unit. He says it's an outdated model and all such units must close.
