Govt looks at hate speech laws

The Government is looking at making hate speech a criminal offence, which could mean tougher penalties.This is part of the response to the Royal Commission of inquiry into the Christchurch terror attack. And, just moments ago, the Internet watchdog Netsafe said it's working to remove offensive material about the Christchurch mosque attacks from online platforms.The police are also aware, and are looking into its origins. RNZ political reporter Charlie Dreaver shares the details with Max Towle on Midday Report.
