Country's first national Waka Hourua festival in Tauranga

A flotilla of waka have arrived at Tauranga Harbour - kicking off the first national waka hourua festival. These are the traditional double-hulled canoes on which people explored the Pacific Ocean and beyond. Some of the voyagers arriving today have sailed from Kawhia around the bottom of the North Island. Navigator Jack Thatcher joins Max Towle.
