An expert in US politics says the Republican Party's removal of Liz Cheney from a top leadership role shows the GOP is splintering - and could lead to the formation of a breakaway party. House Republicans today voted to remove Liz Cheney from her position as the 3rd ranking member, after she refuted claims last year's election was rigged.
