US testing lab falsified some NZ sunscreen results

The truthfulness of sunscreen SPF labels is again under scrutiny, after an American lab pleaded guilty to falsifying test results. The New York-based AMA Laboratories has tested some products sold in New Zealand. Consumer New Zealand also tests sunscreens to see if they match the claims on the labels. Philippa Tolley spoke to its chief executive Jon Duffy who said any products tested by that lab should be re-tested immediately.
