Iwi need funding to better support those in emergency housing

From Midday Report, 12:42 pm on 27 April 2021

Iwi and Māori social service providers say they need funding to support those living in conditions described as "inhumane" at emergency housing motels. Ngāti Kahungunu Whānau Services offers housing and social services to Māori living in Wellington - including working with tangata whenua in emergency housing. Its chief executive, Ali Hamlin-Paenga, spoke to Meriana Johnsen.
