Migrant community hikoi to Waitangi Treaty grounds

From Midday Report, 12:47 pm on 16 April 2021

The leader of a hikoi to the Waitangi Treaty grounds is hoping to grow migrant communities' understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. In a first, volunteer group Multicultural New Zealand is on a two day journey around Te Tai Tokerau, with 50 migrant community leaders. They want to learn more about the history of Aoteaora - and the meaning of the reo Māori version of the Treaty. Multicultural New Zealand's president Pancha Narayanan spoke to Meriana Johnsen about why this hikoi matters.
