NZ Mānuka industry will not share name

The Mānuka Honey industry is adamant it will not share the Māori name with Australian producers, but it is open to working collaboratively with them. The Australian Trade Minister Dan Tehan is asking his local counterpart, Damien O'Connor, for the two countries to work together and reach a trans-Tasman agreement to market the product to the world. That's as the Australian Manuka Honey Association calls for a boycott of New Zealand's honey, unless it changes its mind on the name.The chief executive of the Unique Mānuka Factor Honey Association John Rawcliffe speaks to Joe Porter.
